An ancient art and a medicine of bringing balance to the body and mind. Acupuncture accesses the bodies energy or qi using very small needles at specific points. I think of these points as windows or gateways each with their own distinct purpose or personality.
Moxibustion is derived from a plant called mugwort. I use a very pure form of Japanese moxibustion called o'kyu moxa. It is uses to stimulate and nourish acupuncture points. It is both warming and moving to the qi. It is said that o'kyu moxa nourishes the yang (fire) within the yin (water).
Meaning Shiro (head) and Dhara (flow) is an ancient therapy developed in India and South Asia. A stream of warm herbal oil is applied to a persons forehead and is used to decrease stress, increase memory and clarity. It is said to disarm the nervous system and aid in mental and spiritual growth.
Is a therapy that draws toxins out of the body, stretches the facia, and can be used to draw blood to or away from parts of the body. It is found in one of the oldest medical textbooks dating back to 1550 BC and was used by the Egyptians. It reduces tightness and pain, heat, and other aligments.
Chinese Herbs may be an important part of your healing for both physical and emotional balance. I primarily prescribe formulas from a local company called Classical Pearls. The herbs are well-sourced to be clean and sustainable. I do not do herbal prescriptions separate from acupuncture treatments.
Find your flow within and without. I think most of us have heard something about the benefits of mediation but the actual experience may seem elusive, confusing, or too hard to obtain. I will meet you where you are at to teach you life changing techniques for you mind, body, and spirit.
Private and Group classes are available.
Hello, I'm Pauli Iida, a Licensed Acupuncturist. I have a passion for healing and discovering the mysteries of the universe.
Acupuncturist · Meditation Teacher
I believe each of us longs to return to our innate wholeness—to the golden heart within. So often, we search outside ourselves for fulfillment, only to feel frustrated, weary, and disconnected. But by turning inward, we begin to remember our connection to all things. We learn to draw from an infinite well of energy, peace, and vitality.
My own journey into healing began with that same longing. I discovered acupuncture while searching for relief and transformation in my own life. My first treatment was deeply profound—it awakened something within me and nourished a deep inner hunger. That experience eventually led me to leave my career as a biology field technician and begin my studies in acupuncture on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2003.
After the birth of my first son, I transferred to the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, where I earned my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2010. The transition from biology to Eastern Medicine felt natural—my love of nature and deep connection to the elements found a new expression in this ancient healing art.
In 2017, I began studying Kiiko Matsumoto Style (KMS) acupuncture, a powerful and precise method rooted in Japnese medicine and modern clinical insights. I became certified in KMS in 2023, and this approach has profoundly enriched my practice, offering tangible, lasting results for my patients.
In addition to acupuncture, I teach meditation and support others in reconnecting to their inner light. Whether through the needle, the breath, or quiet reflection, my aim is to help others experience their wholeness and align with the natural flow of life.

Usually not, I use the most gentle Japanese style needles available. You will not feel most of the points going in. Most people are suprised at how comfortable it is and even fall asleep with the needles in.
Yes, acupuncture has been around for 1000's of years. Each needle is sterile and is disposed of after use. Acupuncturist now go through extensive training and are required to stay current with medical board standards of practice.
Wear loose comfortable clothes. For acupuncture it is most important to get to knees and elbows down. It is also very helpful to access collarbone area and shoulders. If you are having a private acupuncture session you may have a sheet to drape yourself and you can wear what you are most comfortable with under that.
